Talented cast, thin story
This live show was full of singers, dancers, acrobats, magicians and pizzazz, with wonderful lighting effects and street scenes. And a bus! New York has never seemed so bright and clean, either. But the story was thin and could have had more to it than acrobats, dancers, etc. Where were the people working, the poor people coming up, and the immigrants and the rich people and the tourists? We are from just north of The City and none of the above was there. Neither was the Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, The Battery, the museums, the NY Library, etc. The thread could have been "New York, New York, it's a wonderful town, the Bronx is up and the Battery's down," etc, etc. with all that wrapped into the scenery. The hotel had more atmosphere. We'll be back next year. Please tell Cirque du Soleil to take a look at it and revive. Thank you.
